Travel Logistics
Getting to Owl's Watch
From Manizales Airport (MZL)
Approximately 40 minutes. The closest and most convenient option. Note that overcast weather sometimes closes this airport — check schedules in advance and have a backup plan.
From Pereira Airport (PEI)
Approximately 2 hours. Larger airport with more reliable flight schedules and connections. A more reliable option with more frequent flights and connections.

Driving
The route from Manizales is a single well-maintained gravel road. Look for the Owl's Watch signs.
What to Pack
- →Warm layers — mornings and evenings are cool at this altitude.
- →Hiking shoes — the trails are well-maintained but can be muddy.
- →Rain jacket — it's a cloud forest. Brief showers are part of the charm.
- →Binoculars — if you have them. We also have pairs available to borrow.
- →A good book — you'll have time to read it.
